John Jairo Castro Maldonado, PhD
Dr. John Jairo Castro Maldonado is a Colombian consultant, researcher, lecturer, and data scientist with solid experience in applied research, innovation, and technological development within both academic and business environments. He holds a Ph.D. in Education from the Benito Juárez University (Mexico), a Master’s in Materials Science and Technology from the Francisco de Paula Santander University (Colombia), and a Master’s in Industrial Controls from the University of Pamplona. He is also a Computer Security Specialist (UNINPAHU) and an Electromechanical Engineer (UFPS). Currently, he is pursuing a Doctorate in Engineering at the Metropolitan Institute of Technology (ITM) in Medellín.
Dr. Castro serves as an Adjunct Professor at Harson University (USA) and the Intercontinental University (Mexico), teaching courses in business administration, innovation, and data science. In Colombia, he is a Research Instructor and Academic Coordinator at the National Learning Service (SENA), where he leads applied research projects, supervises innovation initiatives, and coordinates the Technopark Network.
Recognized as a Research Associate by the Colombian Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation, Dr. Castro has received several distinctions, including SENA’s “Instructor Who Inspires” National Recognition (2021) and multiple awards for research excellence. His areas of expertise include machine learning, industrial automation, and technological innovation.
