José Manuel Gómez Goitia, PhD
José Manuel Gómez Goitia holds a Ph.D. in Education and has over twenty years of experience in university teaching, research, and the development of virtual learning environments. He has taught at universities in Venezuela, Ecuador, and Spain, standing out for his work in educational innovation and the integration of technology into teaching and learning. He currently serves as a Graduate Academic Coordinator and Teaching Researcher at Indoamerica University (Ecuador) and as a professor at both University of La Rioja and International University of Valencia (Spain).
Dr. Gómez Goitia earned his Doctorate in Education (2017), a Master’s in Educational Informatics (2006), and a Bachelor’s degree in Education with a concentration in Mathematics and Computer Science (2002). His academic contributions include publications with Springer and in indexed journals such as the Pan-American Journal of Pedagogy and the Andean Journal of Education.
Author of the book Competences of the University Teacher in Technological Environments (Editorial Académica Española, 2017), his research has been cited more than 120 times. His areas of expertise include active learning methodologies, problem-based learning (PBL), gamification, and the application of artificial intelligence in education, contributing to the advancement of digital education in Latin America and Europe.
